When eloping with your close family and friends in North Carolina, consider these small wedding venues in Asheville for your elopement day that will easily accommodate your guests! The good news is…you don’t have to give up the mountain views you’re dreaming of if you decide to have your elopement at a venue. Luckily, Asheville has a handful of beautiful small event venues tucked away in the mountains that give you the stunning views of the Blue Ridge Mountains and the dependability of a wedding venue. Some of these Asheville venues – like Laurel Falls and Twin Willows – provide lodging, ceremony spots, and dinner spaces that make it easy to have your whole elopement day on the property. While others – like Reverie – work really well paired with a nearby hike on the Blue Ridge Parkway to include a mountain adventure in your day. Keep reading for a list of my favorite venues in Asheville that I have worked with to create an exceptional elopement experience for couples eloping with 20+ guests!
As an elopement photographer, Reverie has been my favorite Asheville event venue for a few years now. The venue is tucked away in downtown Asheville, conveniently located for easy access, but private from the busyness of downtown with a beautiful outdoor courtyard. Reverie not only offers a beautiful setting for your elopement dinner or reception, but they also have an incredible in-house chef, custom signage and table decor options, day-of coordination, custom cocktails, and floral services! While there aren’t mountain views here, Reverie pairs really well with a location like Jump Off Rock for your ceremony! And with their off-site services, you could seamlessly add a second location to your day. The owner and coordinator, Abby, will be your biggest hype girl and always goes above and beyond to make sure your day runs perfectly.

Twin Willows is an estate located in Mars Hill, about 30 minutes from Asheville. There are 3 homes on-site, accommodating up to 30 overnight guests. Wedding venue cost varies depending on popularity, but mostly your guest count. When having a small wedding, you will likely save money on your venue with less guests. You can expect to pay anywhere from $2,000-15,000 for a small wedding venue when catering, coordination, accommodations, and other services are included. You can also save money on your wedding venue by getting married on a weekday.
If you’re looking for something more affordable than a venue that can still accommodate some family and friends, consider getting married at an Airbnb! Airbnb elopements can cost under $1,000, and provide the privacy of your own space and a unique setting unlike anyone else’s! When eloping at an Airbnb, you won’t have a coordinator, so you may be doing most of the planning yourself. You can ask a family member or friend that you trust to help set up decor and complete various tasks on the day of your elopement. You can find an Airbnb for your elopement here!
North Carolina is beautiful in all 4 seasons, so it all depends on your preference! I always suggest booking a venue in the winter months to ensure that your ceremony spot is still accessible in cold and snowy conditions. October is another great month to get married at a venue in Asheville to avoid the crowds and tourism on public land during peak foliage, but you will likely pay more for a venue during October due to higher demand. If comfort is a priority, I would recommend getting married in April-June or September-October for the most comfortable temperatures. You can read more about the 4 seasons in North Carolina here.
