From hiking in the mountains, to exploring the city of Seattle, Samantha & Taylor did it all for their Mt.Rainier elopement! If you’re considering eloping in Washington State, Samantha & Taylor’s photos are sure to seal the deal for you. In this blog post, I’m going to share their full 2-Day Elopement story along with some of my favorite photos from their day!
I first met Samantha at Danni & Brett’s Elopement last spring, she’s the amazing woman behind Parkway Picnics – a luxury picnic service for couples in Western North Carolina! Shortly after that elopement, she reached out to me about her plans for her own Mt.Rainier elopement. Mt.Rainier has always been on the very top of my list of places I’d like to travel for an elopement, so this was an absolute dream come true for me. I already had a few trails in mind from all the daydreaming and research I had done about Mt.Rainier, so we immediately started brainstorming ideas and planned 2 days full of adventure to celebrate their love.
Samantha & Taylor booked 2 days with me so that they could get married with their close friends and family in the mountains on the first day, and then take photos at Pike’s Place Market in Seattle the next morning! On the first day, we started the day at the trailhead of Suntop Lookout, where they had their first look and then hiked up with their guests for their ceremony. They exchanged their vows with their pups by their side, and a stunning view of Mt.Rainier behind them. After their ceremony, we continued up the trail for portraits in front of the lookout, taking in the in-describable beauty of the scenery around us. Then we headed back to Seattle for a celebratory dinner at Purple Cafe and Wine Bar, where we met their guests for a delicious meal to end the day. The next morning, we met up again at Pike Place Market in Seattle to walk around, see all the vendors and take some more fun portraits. Samantha wanted to incorporate both the mountains and the city in her photos, and I was so excited to get out of my comfort zone of the mountains on the second day and get creative with photos in the city. As we walked through the market, people cheered and congratulated them left and right. It was so fun, and those photos ended up being some of my favorites! After lunch, we all headed to Heather Lake to hike together! Samantha and Taylor invited me to join them on the hike just for fun, no photos involved, just because they knew I loved hiking. I seriously can’t express how amazing these two are and how much fun I had with them. Scroll through some of my favorite photos below!
