If you need any convincing to elope in the fall, I’m sure Rayann & CJ’s elopement photos will seal the deal for you. The two got married on a chilly fall day, surrounded by the beautiful, warm colors on the trees.
Rayann & CJ reached out to me and told me that they loved the idea of getting married in the mountains when the leaves were changing. Late October is the ideal time for peak foliage in the North Carolina mountains, so they had originally planned on that timeframe. Because October is such a busy tourist month on the Blue Ridge Parkway, the parkway doesn’t issue wedding permits for the entire month of October, so we instead decided to go with the first week of November. This would allow us to get those amazing fall colors, before it got too cold.
When their day finally arrived, the foliage was still so bright & beautiful, giving us a stunning backdrop, and the trails were covered in fallen leaves. We hiked up to the first overlook for their ceremony with their closest family members and their officiant, Vanessa. Vanessa performed their ceremony in front of this incredible view.
After their ceremony, we continued to the second overlook for portraits and had the whole overlook to ourselves!! Although it was a little colder than we would have liked, it was so worth it. With lots of layers & extra hand warmers, we had the best time.
