If you love the idea of an elopement of mountains, but also want to make your close family and friends feel extra appreciated on your wedding day, Joni & Derek’s wedding is the one to look to for inspiration!
It was personal to them, while also honoring their family. It was adventurous, while also making room for their loved ones. It was a full day of celebration, without the rush or stress.
We started their elopement day at one of my favorite ceremony locations, Jump Off Rock, where they had a first look and shared their vows privately, followed by an intimate ceremony with their close family and friends. Her Dad walked her down the aisle, their grandmothers presented the rings, and they ended their ceremony with a choreographed first dance. Then, we headed to a trail on the Blue Ridge Parkway, where we marveled over the tall pine trees, wildflowers, and beautiful views. While we were busy exploring, their guests were back at the Airbnb setting up the dining room for a celebratory dinner. When we arrived, the caters had prepared a delicious meal for everyone to enjoy, and they ended the day with lots of laughter gathered around the table together.
