Florals are such a beautiful addition to every wedding day!! Whether it’s as simple as a bouquet, or as extravagant as an archway, there are so many ways to utilize flowers as an accent to your wedding. For mountain elopements, the flower options are often times a lot different than the options for a traditional wedding. For example, the Blue Ridge Parkway doesn’t allow live florals, so unfortunately you can’t bring a real bouquet. They also don’t allow arbors or arches, so you’ll want to opt for a simpler flower option. Luckily, there are some great alternatives within this blog post if you decide to get married on the parkway!! Keep reading for 5 elopement floral ideas!!
If your location allows live flowers, you can hire a florist to make a beautiful bouquet for you!! Em’s bouquet was made by Ramble Floral.
If you’re looking for florists based in Western North Carolina, here are some of my favorites:
If your elopement location doesn’t allow live flowers, you can purchase a silk or wooden bouquet as an alternative!! These bouquets are often times just as pretty as real bouquets, and they last forever, so you’ll be able to save your bouquet as a keepsake. The silk bouquet in the photos below is from Kochetova on Etsy.
You could also use flowers as an accessory!! A few of my favorite ideas are:
All of which can also be made with silk flowers, like the flower crown in the photos below!!
If you’d rather take advantage of natural scenery instead of bringing your own florals, you could choose a venue with gardens, or a trail with lots of wildflowers. Flowers and greenery will add a lot of vibrant color to your photos!! The first photo was taken at Something Blue Mountain Venue, and the second photo was taken during peak wildflower season on the Blue Ridge Parkway.
Last but not least, you can use florals and greenery to decorate!! Vases of flowers are a great addition to an end of the day picnic.
This picnic was designed by Samantha at Parkway Picnics.
