If you’re dreaming of an elopement weekend getaway to the mountains of Asheville, Morgan & Drew’s multi-day Asheville elopement is definitely the one to look to for inspiration. From downtown to the Blue Ridge Parkway, they did it all. Their elopement weekend took place over 3 days in Asheville, each day thoughtfully planned out to include their favorite places and people.
And while 3 days may sound like a lot at first, many couples choose to have a multi-day elopement so that they can have a day to themselves and a day with their loved ones, or, as Morgan & Drew said…”We love the idea of mixing the scenes of downtown Asheville with the beautiful mountain landscape”. For them, it was about experiencing everything the area had to offer, and sharing those experiences with the people that matter most to them.
When asked about why they decided to elope in Asheville specifically, Morgan & Drew wrote,
When deciding where to elope, I encourage all couples to think about a place that feels like home. And for many people, the Blue Ridge Mountains are that place. Asheville is the perfect place for a multi-day elopement, offering a wide variety of hiking trails, mountain views, city architecture, restaurants, cocktail bars, coffee shops, breweries, unique places to stay, and small event venues to explore on your trip.
Morgan & Drew’s elopement weekend started with a walk downtown to the courthouse, a celebratory cocktail at LaBodega, and an intimate welcome party with their guests at Battery Park Book Exchange & Champagne Bar. The day was filled with joyful anticipation for their wedding day, and lots of hugs with loved ones who has just arrived in town for the weekend.
The next day, they got ready at the beautiful Elevation Lofts in downtown Asheville, and then we headed to Jump Off Rock for their first look. Morgan & Drew had a private first look, and then got married as the sun set behind the mountains, surrounded by their closest loved ones. After the ceremony and lots of celebration, they ended the day with a candlelit dinner at Posana in downtown Asheville. Throughout the whole experience, they included their friends and family in a way that made them feel loved and appreciated, which is something I really admired. They didn’t conform to the traditional wedding rulebook or the elopement norm, they did exactly what felt right to them.
The next morning, we took a drive down the Blue Ridge Parkway and met at the trailhead for a morning of hiking, dancing, and admiring the mountains that they love so much. Followed by one last celebration with craft beer and burgers at Burial Beer Forestry Camp (the name just screams elopements vibes!).
